Fairey Gannet

It has many secret devices for detecting and hunting submarines, and is powered by the Armstrong Siddeley Double Mamba jet engine of 2,950 h.p. This unusual engine really consists of two separate jet engines, driving two propellers rotated in opposite directions by means of special gearing. For taking off, both jets are used for full power but, in normal cruising flight,
either of the two engines can be stopped, the stationary propeller bring folly feathered to minimize drag. For attacking, both engines are again switched on for full speed.

Each selected pair has been twined to give a pleasing picture to be displayed with an A4 or A3 printed size, large enough to read the small Eagle Centrespread text.
