Eagle Comics gave me a lifelong interest in science and engineering.
The centre double spreads explaining how everything was constructed with easy to follow cutaway drawings.

Made complex mechanical working parts plain to see.
It’s a pity youngsters today just have computers, in my day my junior school had 10 year olds doing metal work and woodwork!
Today, it’s all theory and very little practice, digital print-outs are very 2-diementional, full knowledge should be 3-diementional.
The Science Museum had an exhibition over 10 years ago. They should take a leaf out of Eagle’s centre page and explain why Science and Engineering are key to any country’s success.
